First Aid & Safety grades 9 - 10 ( 0.5 Credit )

In this course students learn and practice first aid procedures for a variety of conditions, including muscular, skeletal and soft injury injuries. Students will also learn how to appropriately respond to a variety of emergency situations. In addition, they will learn the procedures for choking and CPR for infants, children and adults. Students will also explore personal, household and outdoor safety and disaster preparedness.
